Tellico bug report

Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:49 pm
I'm trying out Tellico, and I get repeated crashed with debigging information when attempting a *very* basic CSV import.

So, report the bug, easy, right????

Well, Tellico redirects me to here, and I have to create an account.
OK, alright, it's annoying, but ok so I do that.
I have to clear everything out, because the damn accoutn setup **** makes you go follow a link from an email, so now I have lost all the linkage from the original report-a-bug stuff.

Now I get back to post a bug report and I'm redirected to a KDE bug tracking thing which requires ANOTHER account set up.

Screw this.

Here's the debug output and if you want to pass this along, feel free.

Application: Tellico (tellico), signal: Segmentation fault

Re: Tellico bug report

Sorry, but your bug report is not really useful, you don't have debugging symbols installed. Please have a look here on how to get valid backtraces:

http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tut ... sh_reports

The forum is not the place for bug reports but for user support, please report bugs on http://bugs.kde.org

Also please provide your KDE version, Tellico version and of course your distribution, else there are not enough informations to handle the report.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Your comment there caught my attention. The Tellico mailing list is listed in the Tellico "About" dialog and you don't have to register for anything to send an email to tellico-users@kde.org. In fact, the crash dialog should send the backtrace to that email list. This forum isn't linked from Tellico at all...

Thanks for adding that info, Mamarok! dale, I tend to really work hard to nail down crashing bugs, so if you can reproduce the crash with debug symbols, I'd appreciate it. Or at least, put more description into what you were doing, saying "basic CSV import" doesn't help me much. Thanks!
