Is it possible to use Tellico to create a searchable database of all different types of files on CD/DVD, usb and hard drive. I'm looking for a feature that would work similar to gwhere, cdcat or gnomecatalog, preferably with option of creating thumbnails of pictures or from ebooks. It would be great if such a program could keep this thumbnails in one possibly compressed cataloge file, as opposed to separate folder, like it is the case with gnomecatalog. I don't like the idea of having several thousands or more of small files/thumbnails directly on hard disk.
Edit: Sorry for placing this topic in wrong subforum. It should be in: Board index → KDE Software → Office & Productivity → Tellico I hope moderator can move it. And I hope Tellico developers answer it |

There is functionality for that in Tellico, but it is a bit rudimentary. File->Import->File Listing |

Indeed. Thank you for response. Are you planning to develop this feature? It would be great to have this option more developed and have one great program for all types of collections including file indexing. I tried this option but it doesn't preserve a tree structure of folders.

The tree structure is the difficult part, Tellico isn't set up to do hierarchical things yet. Maybe someday... |
