How to use this forum

Thu Nov 25, 2010 9:56 pm
This forum is meant to discuss topics related to the betas and the release candidates for 4.6, which most distributions provide as installable packages.

UDPATE: 4.6.0 has been releaed today, hence you should now use the main forum areas to post topics. This does not apply to KDE-PIM, as it has not been released along with the rest: topics regarding the 4.6 version should be still posted here.

When finding problems, always remember the General Troubleshooting guidelines.

If you are reporting a bug to http://bugs.kde.org, ensure you write down the current version of your KDE prerelease, from which source it was obtained, and if possible, detailed steps on how to reproduce the issue. In case you have a crash, install the debug symbols packages (-dbg in Ubuntu, -debugsource/-debuginfo on openSUSE) and reproduce the crash. Use the Bug report wizard to submit the crash backtrace to KDE's bug tracker.

Happy testing!
