Hi!
Since I updated from KDE 4.5 to KDE 4.6 beta2 (openSUSE-11.3 x86_64), the machine goes to suspend mode after ~30 minutes of inactivity in a user session. Occasionally the machine recovers from suspend mode by pressing the power button, but most of the times only a hard reset brings the system up again. I tried to disable this behaviour by editing the power profiles in the "Power Management" system settings and the screen saver configuration. In particular, I *) set the "Dim Display" timeout to 1 minute, *) set the "Screen Energy Saving" timeout to 2 minutes, *) disabled the "Suspend Session" checkbox *) set the screen saver timeout to 1 minute *) made sure that neither the system-wide nor the user-specific "kscreensaverrc" contains the keyword "AutoLogout" Nevertheless, the system goes to suspend mode after half an hour. I looked at several log files and found out when suspend mode was entered, but not what triggered this event. So I have the following questions: *) Are there any other places in the KDE configuration which control power management? *) Which log files could help to reveal the cause of this issue? Thanks & kind regards, Markus |

Likely related to viewtopic.php?f=202&t=91967 - which by my testing is fixed in RC1.
