What is ‘recipr’?

Sun Jul 01, 2012 12:41 pm
I’m working in the translation of messages/calligra/desktop_calligra.pot, which holds all the stencils. Translating them is difficult, but I try at least to somehow “adapt” them to the target language. Many items I do not completely understand, and many include untranslatable names and codes, but I keep going.

One term that I cannot understand and that I think I would be able to adapt to the target language if I could understand the concept behind it is ‘recipr’, under ChemEng. Does anyone know what it is?

Most Flow stencils are from Dia. In this case it is "Reciprocating Compressor or Pump"

http://git.gnome.org/browse/dia/tree/sh ... g.sheet.in

Other shape collections can be found here:

http://dia-installer.de/shapes/index.html.en

I have sent the request about using human readable names from Dia sheets and Yue Liu answered that he will "investigate how to convert dia sheets to the stencil description."

Thanks a lot, both for the answer and your request for human-readable names for Stencils from Dia.
