Hi Im using Calligra with Ubuntu Precise
How do I configure Calligra to use Thunderbird as its default email client instead of Kmail (which I have not installed).

you need to start the kde system-settings

under "default applications" you wil be able to select another email client

I am using Ubuntu-precise with unity desktop and my default email client is thunderbird
In libreoffice I am able to select select any email client by defining its path in Libre Office settings

How can I use Calligra, Ubuntu Unity with thunderbird as my email client for emailing documents right from File-->Mail--> menu in Calligra

Uhm I just answered you above.

Even on Unity you need the KDE system settings.

from a shell try running

kcmshell4 componentchooser

One more teeny weeny question. Is there a way to save calligra documents in doc , docx, rtf, xls or xlsx formats?
