Hi all,
Following a brief exchange on G+, I was wondering if it would be possible / interesting to have a crowd-funding like what happened for Krita, but for other Calligra apps ? Specifically I have Flow in mind, since there really is a lack of diagram tools on Linux and with a little help I'm sure Flow would easily be the best solution. Now I'm not a coder, but as a user I know I'd happily give to such a crowd-funding. Now the whole question is: would developers agree ? How does it work ? What is required to start such a funding ? Does it need some kind of organization/company ? Maybe the Krita Fundation could help on this and provide insight of how it did run for them ? Anyway, just posting to see if there would be an interest, both from developers and users. Thanks ! Alban |

It's much harder for Flow than for Krita as Krita already has a much bigger userbase. You need a developer, a plan of the stuff that should be developed. A donation drive needs to be run by a credible team/organisation.
At this point in time, I doubt that a Flow donation drive would be that successful. |
