Using Calligra sheets 2.4.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 with the Unity desktop.

If I right-click on a single cell or a selection of cells and choose Cell-Format, then choose Text and then choose OK my choices are not saved. The next time I open that sheet all the cells I want formatted as Text have reverted to Generic. Is there any solution to this or am I somehow doing it wrong?
