How do you select the paper tray when using apps like Words
I have a printer with 5 trays and there seems to be no way to select one. Apps like LibreOffice have a drop down to select trays This is openSuse12.3 and KDE 4.10.5 ( using a remote queue on a Suse server ) Thanks Mal A bit more on this .... Here is the print dialog from Words - note no 'Properties' Here is the print dialog from Karbon - it has a Properties button where you can set all the options for trays etc |

Have you tried checking under "Options" in Words to see if Properties becomes visible then?

If you mean the Options button in the print dialog
you get when doing File/Print, then yes, it isn't any where to be found As far as I can see the only way to get a print dialog with the Properties button is to go via the print preview. Mal |
