(start laughing)
I shot myself during an 'apt-get' and a large number of package were removed automatically. Now I'm trying to recover. I'd become complacent and did not have a backup. (end laughing) Before my mis-adventure, I had callibra v2.7.5 installed and running on Mint-15 Cinnamon and I was very happy with the workings. Can someone help me sort out all of this and get a useful install. [PS/ I'm really looking forward to 'calligra-author'...] When I try to install 'calligra' from the Mint-15 repositories, 'synaptic' reports that the package is broken. 'apt-get install' reports that calligra depends on 'kexi' and 'krita' (>=1:2.6.3...). If I unravel all of that and add-apt-repository according to any of several articles that I find online, I still cannot get an install. Again, there is some issue with 'kexi' and 'krita'. If I try to install either 'kexi' or 'krita' separately, I get complains about 'calligra-libs' (=1:2.7.5). It I try 'calligra-libs separately, that won't work either. Thanks in advance, ~~~ 0;-Dan |

Can you please provide a list of the repositories you have added to your system?
The following command should provide that information:
Also, please make sure you have refreshed the repository data after adding a new repository. This can be done by running:

Here is the 'cat' details that you requested:
It seems that Mint-15 repositories have the 2.6.3 editions of calligra parts. Other KDE apps like 'k3b', 'okular', 'kate', all installed and run just fine. I don't know enough about running KDE parts on Mint-15 with Cinnamon to know if some other KDE something has dropped a spanner into my springenwerks. Thanks, again, ~~~ 0;-Dan |

Can you please provide the full output from apt when it complains of broken packages?

Trying to install 'calligra', there was a complaint about dependency on 'kexi' and 'krita'. I tried to install 'krita' and was told there was dependency on 'calligra-libs'. I installed 'calligra-libs' without any messages, and tried again to install 'krita'. Next I was told of dependency on 'krita-data'. Following is the log from my attempt to install 'krita-data'. Notice that 'calligra-libs' gets removed if I complete the install processing.
This is typical of the sort of circular dependency troubles that I face. Thanks, again, ~~~ 8d:-/ Dan |

It is likely that the packaging structure has changed - which is why it wants to remove calligra-data and calligra-libs. Have you installed the "krita" package?
