Due to lack of documentation, I figure to ask here how to apply page styles.
Is it possible to have a title page, index page, and standard page style? I was hopping to Have first page without page numbers, index page with roman numbers, and third page to have style named "standard" with arabic page numbers and to star from three. Also, page style would be noce to have one page with columns, and next without columns. Is that possible? I'm asking here because I'm not able to apply page stayles in Calligra (or at least not getting desirable results. Tryed with Page Layout option, I duplicate style "Standard, modify it (set number of column to two) and then navigate to a second page and click OK with modified style selected. But result is somehow messy - first page get columns, not the second, diferent styles won't stick to desirable pages... It's Calligra Words 2.8.5 compillied from source on Debian Jessie. Thanks |

Hi
Right now words and its layout system handle most of your needs, but sadly without the user interface you can't use the feature Handling of page styles in the words user interface is not only messy, it's almost inexistant/incomplete. I've started working on this, but it of course won't make it to the 2.8 releases which are for bug fixes only. I hope I'll be able to get something ready for the 2.9 release, but this depend on my time availability. |
