In Calligra Sheets I sort-of worked-out how to use the Trend function which the handbook says does linear regression. However, the resulting points are not in a straight line so I was wondering if I have misunderstood this function or done something wrong.

I realised after posting that setting the 'allow offset' parameter to False might sort this out, but if I try that, the results do not make any sense at all.
I am very impressed with some parts of this program like Sort, Filter/Auto-filter, Insert external data, the range of chart styles, etc, and I would love to help make this program even better but my programming skills and experience are not great. I have sent a bunch of bug reports (some more to come) and would happily be proactive in testing the suite. |

I managed in the end - the answer is (as per my other post) to use 'Ctrl+Alt+Enter' instead of just 'Enter' because the result of this function is an array. The trend line now looks fine. Sorry for being a pain.
