I'm currently running KDE Neon LTS using the default repositories. I installed Calligra Words, Sheets and Stage. Words and Sheets both work and show up in the menu under "office" but Stage does not.

If I run ' calligrastage ' from a terminal it says it is not installed but I can install it using apt. If I run ' apt install calligrastage ' it says that it's already installed.

I then uninstalled Stage issuing ' apt remove calligrastage ' apt successfully removed it and told me there were several dependencies that were no longer needed- I left those alone. I then issued ' apt install calligrastage ' and apt downloaded the package and installed with no errors. ...Still no Stage.

Next, I tried ' apt install calligrastage --reinstall '. Apt downloading the package again and installed Stage again with no errors. ...Still no Stage.

I then tried ' dpkg-reconfigure calligrastage ' but nothing happened, I was just returned to the console prompt.

Am I missing something?

Sounds like something's amiss with the package, like it's either missing the executable or putting it in the wrong place or something.

Running "dpkg -L calligrastage" will list the files in the package. You can check to make sure there is a listing for the executable in /usr/bin (e.g. "/usr/bin/calligrastage")

If you are using Calligra version 3.0, Stage is unfortunately not included in this release. (It is intended to be brought back in a future release though)

I'm not sure if that's the right place to look after it, but at http://archive.neon.kde.org/user/lts/di ... 4/Packages it says:
"As Calligra Stage is unmaintained this package contains only the kpart component."
So it doesn't seem to be an error that you can see this package but can't use Stage.

If you need Stage you could get a former Version of Calligra, that has Stage included, from some other repos. (e.g. current Ubuntu repos should have 2.9.11, not sure if that plays well with neon)

That explains it then... I am trying to use ver 3 of Calligra.
