I'm having trouble inserting another project file. I have version 2.9.7 using KDE Dev 4.14.16.
Basically what happens is ... nothing. No crash, no new tasks, no schedules. I think I'm expecting it to make another task that has all the sub tasks from the inserted project, but really I don't know what should be happening. Ultimately all my projects are the same and I only need to duplicate the main task so it would be nice to copy/paste or insert a template. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Here is the terminal output starting with the click before insertion:

Three ways to insert project:
Drag&drop a file from eg dolphin. Tools->Insert Project File... should open a dialog so you can select a file and where in the current project you want to insert it. This works in master, but I do not have 2.9.7 atm, I'll see what I can do. |

Ok, tested on 2.8.1 and it does not work.
(Didn't test drag&drop but doubt it works) A third option may work for your use case: Load the project you want to start from, then File->Create New Project... Afaik plan was unmaintained during late 2.9.x releases and I suspect it was released with minimal testing, so I do not think upgrading to later 2.9.x version will fix anything. Actually, I know 2.9.11 crash on startup, so do not try that. I'm trying to rectify this, but have to focus on 3.x releases. |
