[solved]Calligra words status

Wed Jan 05, 2011 10:58 am
I wanted to ask before filling any bugs:
- is words supposed to fully support *.rtf file formats?
- is words supposed to support utf8, several fonts and pictures at the headers?
- is words supposed to fully support tables (and copy-paste of them)?

Thanks for the info and also to the devs for the great work.

Hi and thanks for your interest.

*.rtf is not well supported no, and not really a focus aread for hte current devs either. That doesn't mean we don't want it, just that we don't have time for it.

We should support utf8,fonts,pictures in headers yes, but we are aware of bugs, but feel free to report what you find.

As for table support, I hope to to have substantial support for tables in Words when we release it.

I'll ask you to please consider that KWord 2.3 is a far cry from what we want for Words, and that we have already moved a long way in the git repository. So if you really want to help out testing then testing the git version would do wonders.

best regards

Thanks Casper,
