Hi everyone.
I just compiled Calligra 2.4 ALPHA from source.
Everything went smooth. The installation dir is ~/kde4/inst/ as directed.

The problem is that when I try to run the binaries, I get several error about missing libraries from /usr/lib64 and /usr/lib64/kde.

I see that the libraries exist but in ~/kde4/inst/lib64/

I tried several ways to to add the path but I am to a dead end:
1) Editing etc/ld.so.conf and adding the entries
2) Adding etc/ld.so.conf/calligra.conf with the entries
Running ldconfig after both.
3) Tried export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/kde4/inst/lib64/kde4/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

No luck

ldconfig -v reports ~/kde4/inst/lib64/kde4 path but no libraries.

Any pointers?

PS. I would rather keep the libraries separate from my system until a stable version is out so that rules out copying to /usr/lib64

Review the following link

http://techbase.kde.org/Getting_Started ... figuration

It let you configurate your environment variables for each project.
just edit and add the script code in your .bashrc file and the .build-config file in the source directory and then it will be read when you enter to the directory and then use it for run the bin files from console.

Thank you for the immediate response.

However I already compiled without using any script.

My bad. I thought that KDELIBS environment variable was persisted, but it does not (damn Windows).
Everything works fine now.

Let's start testing.

Thank you again.
