Calligra 2.4 alpha 3 on kde 4.7 on openSUSE 11.4
Kudos on getting pgdn to work; the fact that it doen't in KOffice make that program useless for long docs. The problem is, it's only kinda useful now, because I can only page down so far at a time before it stops. A down arrow key gets me past that obstacle and then I can page down a bit further. How far I can get varies between documents. The "long" documents I mention are 20 to 70 pages, *.doc files created in MS Word or Openoffice. When I try to save them in ODF, I lose all but a few pages, but within the bit I don't lose, page down stops in the same spots. For one doc, I tried selecting all and pasting into a new file. I still lost everything after page 5, and I still couldn't page down all the way through those 5 pages. I'm just a dabbler with linux, not technically new but still with only a newbie's knowledge. Is there something I'm missing here, settings-wise, or have I run across a bug? GEF |
