found this "Re: Printing With 2335dn Thank you so much! For those of you out there that need drivers, please see Dell's website and search for the drivers for the 2330nd laster printer. It's the model right below mine with little to no differences. Mine works great following these instructions!" http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1371932 & "It's compatible with PCL6, PS3 and has drivers with Windows, Mac and Linux" http://www.tomsguide.com/us/laser-print ... 420-3.html & "YES CERTIFIED with the following products: Operating Systems: SUSE® LINUX Enterprise Server 9 for x86 Service Pack 4 for SUSE® SLES 9" http://developer.novell.com/yes/104495.htm & Dell says it compatible " Various Linux OS including Red Hat 8.0 ~ 9.0, Fedora Core 1~4, Mandrake 9.2 ~ 10.1,and SuSE 8.2 ~ 9.2" http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q= ... Someone please help! I have tried to get my Lexmark 5270 printer to work with my Linux program, even used the "Lexmark 5200 series" option listed in configuring printer. Nothing is working! It grabs a piece of paper and then doesn't print... stays in the queue as "pending'. Please help. I need a phone number to talk to someone! Please post a toll free phone number for your registered users! It is too difficult to find a number to call! Thank you! -- Karen (positive_mother@yahoo.com)

Hi Karen,
KDE does not provide the components which perform printer support. I suggest you contact your distribution through their forums or mailing lists, as they will likely be able to sort you problem out quicker. Your distribution is the vendor whom you installed your Linux system from.
KDE Sysadmin

This more than likely a network or a driver issue. If you haven't tried rebooting, reboot both the PC and printer. This information would be helpful https://techloris.com/printer-in-error-state/ the number of computers that can't print or show offline.

I was able to solve this type of issue on my system by updating the Dell printer drivers, and immediately the error stopped.
You can download drivers easily from their official site https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ng?app=drivers For easy download use premium link generator |
