I can't place accents on vowels.

Hello to all,
I have problem with accent I can switch my keyboard and I can write greeks but I can't place accents on vowels, it is usually done by pressing ";" before the vowel.
Any help please?

Solved :-)
file /etc/locale.conf needs :
# Enable UTF-8 with local settings.
LANG="en_US.utf8"

# Keep the default sort order (e.g. files starting with a '.'
# should appear at the start of a directory listing.)
LC_COLLATE="C"

after reboot all ok :-)

probably your system is Arch Linux
