I've noticed this game is starting to run very, very slow on my computers, so I'm wondering what you percieve the bare minimum hardware would be for it to run like it did six months or a year ago. I've used LXDE for my GUI on various Distros and motherboards.

If you monitor it with htop or System Activity (accessible from Alt + F2, icon beside the configuration wrench), can you check the CPU usage while playing the game?

Also, does playing under a new user have any impact?
