Where is it √ ?.

The element must be in the calculator's main view. Even Chinese calculators have this function.

it will appear when you click the shift key

per the handbook
To give easy access to all the functions in KCalc, many keys have a second layout. Click on Shift or press the shortcut I to make the second layout of the buttons visible.

thank but this should be a standard AC view instead.

I do not understand why this is so. It's illogical.
I look on google to know how to turn √ in calc ? It is illogical.
