I have never had the opportunity to compare a 4k vs a 1080p side by side while a game of any type is running. I have a 4k LED tv, and when it's running a 4k signal the difference is noticeable. But that's in a 55" from halfway across the room watching movies or football, which doesn't really compare to games.

Seems my dear netizens are quiet busy. Well, I give it a search on google, and it says a 4K image is effectively twice as sharp as a 1080p image, affording you a lot more detail. 4K Ultra HD is the name assigned to a screen with a resolution that’s four times that of a Full (1080p) HD TV.

That translates to 8 million pixels being crammed into the same space in which a Full HD TV fits just 2 million — achieved by making each pixel four times smaller. Sounds appealing. And there's expanding library of games that support this new resolution due to the nature of games, the environment, the action, the color and whatnot. And then there's distance.

If you sit from 8ft away, you probably won't appreciate 4k on a 25" display. On the other hand, you should probably be sitting at a desk so that the display fills most if not all of you peripheral vision. At this point, 4k will matter at any screen size because you're going to sit at whatever distance causes the screen to fill most of your peripheral vision, at which point it becomes a matter of pixels per degrees.

Hope this would help people who lay their eyes on this thread. You probably have the same doubts with me.
