getx issue

getx issue

Hi All,

My son started to learn/play with KTurtle and we ran into an issue.
I wrote a small script to show what is our problem.

Could you please explain why this happens ?

Code: Select all
reset
go 200,200

dir 90

learn check {
  if getx != 200 and getx != 250 {
    message getx + " != 200 and " + getx + " != 250"
  }
}

repeat 10 {
   fw 50
   tr 90

   check
}

Really? Check out KTurtle :-)

FWIW: TurtleScript has been used since years for educational Turtle programming

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

AFAIK yes, but turtle programming has been around for several dozen years on various platforms.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
