I am quite new to KStars, but looking for a specific feature.
While I could use the PlateSolve technique to sync the mount to where it is actually looking, I would like to more simply simply look at an object in the scope and somehow say to KSTARs that this object is where I am looking and have the mount now sync to that object. I note that in the simulator there appears to be the option "sync" in the pulldown for the mount. I am using a Celestron AVX and don't see that option. I have the feeling the option is there, I just haven't been able to find it (at first I though "Center and Track" would do it, but that only moves the focus to the object, but apparently does not update the scope's position to the object Any ideas how can tell KStars where my scope is actually looking without using PlateSolve? Thanx. |
