I have Parley 0.9.1, using KDE 4.1.4 (fedora 10)
Seems like synonyms function is not working. I set two words as synonyms but while practising it says word is wrong although I wrote synonym. Is this a known bug, or is it just my problem?

I do not have Parley installed, however I can recommend you upgrade to KDE 4.2, where this issue might be fixed.
Otherwise, try removing your Parley configuration from these locations:
Finally, if none of the above work, please search for and report it in the KDE Bugzilla, if it has not already been reported.

Running 4.2 here so might not be exact same, but here goes, when you go to start practise, there should be a button labelled "Configure practise" at bottom of the dialog where you choose which lessons from that set to practise.
In there go to the "Advanced" tab at side, and there should be a checkbox for "Accept synonyms as correct", make sure it's checked (also I'd recommend setting the "ignore capitalisation" or whatever on, since for most languages it doesn't matter enough to be worth the frustration :P)

In this case, you appear to have found a bug. Please ask on the Parley development list ( KDE Edu ) before filing however, as they may be able to provide additional assistance.
