trying to run a game on Wine tonight, it needed an update so it exited.
So now....
When using Dolphin says "could not enter folder"
using terminal i get "permission denied"
any ideas?

Right-click the folder and check the permissions to make sure you're the owner and you can view and modify content.

Any ideas of how this happened?

Usually running applications as root ( using sudo especially ) will cause this.
