ksudoku in KDE 4.4 does not set difficulty level

In KDE 4.4, ksudoku does not set the difficulty level when moving the slider to harder mode. I still offers the easy gameplay. I reverted to the previous version of ksudoku which works corectly.
Using Archlinux with KDEMod.
