OK, folks, my subject title says it all. No idea why- I removed and re-installed krename, but it's still missing all but "help" tab in top row.
I need settings access so I can batch rename directories, not just files! krename 4.0.1, kde 4.3.5, ubuntu karmic. Any ideas folks? CT |

Well I had to get a new router...
I tried that file delete- but that path "/home/user/.kde/share/apps/krename/" does not exist on my machine. But yes, krename definitely does. I tried purging and re-installing. No good; still have only a "help" tab. I *should* have a bar at the top with "extras/settings/help" showing! A friend who also uses kde4 has the same issue: no "Extras" or Settings" menu. If you create a new user, does the problem occur there? It possibly be a packaging flaw if your friend uses the same distribution.
