Hi,
How do I remove the magnitude limits of any kind of object? I do have my own catalogs for my observations but the limits for the shown stars is set zu 16. If one does observe for example galaxy clusters up to 25th magnitude and you want to compare the just taken Fits-Image to the star map 16mag won't stand a chance. I coded my own catalog which goes down that deep but only objects to the 16th magnitude are shown. So how do I turn that limit off or at least how can I set it to a more useful value? It would be nice to have the possibility to choose the limit for each kind of object type on its own. Kstars is great, but if it comes to professional use there are some things that are anoying. regards, NGC8000 |

Assuming this option does not exist in KStars settings, then it is probably a coded in limit. I would suggest contacting the developers (on the previously mentioned kde-edu@kde.org list) and ask them about this limit.

Every coded in limit can be reimplemented. If I know in what file I have to change it, I can do it of my own. I do not have the time to browse through all the files to find that particular module.
As I wrote in my other post, the developers answered quiet arrogant when I aksed them for help. |
