Hello developers,
installing a 4.6 KDE, I keep wondering where is the KCalc heading. Since I work in research, I have always appreciated possibility to put wide variety of the buttons on the display (starting from binary functions, bit edits, through basic functions to statistics), combined with compactness of the KCalc. With the version in 4.6, I wonder, what led you to the really stupid idea to put radio buttons instead of selects for the button selections. Normal person will never use than the very basics, people like me need something from each mode. I really will not switch in between them as I need different functions. So .. who are you targeting with the exclusive modes? KCalc was always a great tool for me to compute some basic things very fast. It is not any more. Really, what led you to impose your mode selection on people instead of letting them select, what everyone needs... Thank you Jiri |

Whilst I am not aware of why this change was made, have you tried filing a feature request asking why this change was made? I would recommend searching on KDE Bugzilla first however, as it is probable that one already exists.
