Folks:
I installed Skrooge 0.7 thru Synaptic Pkg Mgr onto my Mint 11 64-bit OS. Seemed to open fine with the expected windows, but I had not entered data. Decided 2 days later to upgrade to v1.2, so I followed the instructions on the Skrooge website, in a terminal, re: add PPA, update apt, get & install Skrooge. This resulted in a broken installation that showed nothing on the page when I opened Skrooge but a grey screen with non-functioning menu at top. Synaptic identified the install as broken and I allowed Synaptic to remove it. How do I now proceed to re-install Skrooge? Must I stick with v0.7 or is there a way to install v1.2 on Linux Mint 11? Thanks in advance. PS: Quicken was the only app tying me to Windows, I hope Skrooge will set me free. Thanks. |

As "Emily Latella" (old Saturday Night Live) would say: Nevermind!!!!!!!
Sorry to waste peoples' time, I got it resolved. I uninstalled the broken install, and when I tried to reinstall v0.7 thru Synaptic, it successfully installed v1.2!!! I'll guess that since the PPA was listed as a repository after the first try at installing v1.2, Synaptic went with the PPA. All seems well with the installed v1.2. Quicken: goodbye. Bob |
