Hi,
When I draw a "Report" for "Units" as following : ![]() The total amount each month is number of units each month x last value Shouldn't it be number of units each month x mean unit value for each month or number of units each month x last unit value of the month ? |

In Skrooge, each operation has a "current amount"=quantity * last value. All reports are based on this "current amount". This is why, you are right, the amount of each month is "number of units each month x last value". This is easier for computation. Normally, if you have a transaction like this: 2012/09/01 - 100 IBM (means 100 shares IBM) and if the amount of IBM is like this
The history report should present this:
This is very complex and very bad for performances. This is why we choose to always evaluate the amount of each operation with the last value of its unit. |
