Skrooge Shares

Thu Dec 20, 2012 9:52 am
Hi,

I have added shares onto the Units tab. Could you tell me how I add how many of this particular share I already own?

Thanks

Bump.

Has anybody got Stocks and Shares working with Skrooge, as this area is not so well documented.

I can add stocks, but confused with entering my holdings.

Many thanks

Hi,

You just have to create an operation from the "Operations" page with the quantity in the "Amount:" field and the share symbol in the "unit" combo box.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Can I ask if there is an option anyway to enter the activity type such as:

Buy/Sell, Dividend/Yield. Reinvest Dividend.

Best wishes and compliments of the season.

For buy/sell, you can use the tab named "Shares" in the "Operations" page.

entering shares is very confusing and weakest spot in skrooge
also "Quantity owned" and "amount owned" both show same value on "Units" page

Feature Request: Allow to add Custom source for "Stock updates"

Also,"Open url" button took me to the website and opened the csv file but the update in skrooge fails.

plz guide

"Quantity owned" = number of share owned (no unit).
"amount owned" = amount of share owned (in primary unit) = "Quantity owned" x last value of the share

So, if you have the same value it means that you didn't set a value for this share.

To create a new source to download quote:
1- Go on "Units" page
2- Enter the name of the source in "Download source"
3- Type on "Enter"
4- Configure the source as documented in the opened text file.
