Firstly, very much like the Skrooge interface. I think it's fantastic.
I just had a fundamental question. I want to create a net worth report, but can't seem to get the account balances to sum up.
I've created a report with the accounts I want selected. Set the lines to type or account, The only mode that seems to show me account balances (as opposed to the sum of transactions for the specified month) is cumulated sum of operation. This does not then show a sum of each column (the sum of assets/liabilities) for that month? Am I missing something here?
I'm using version skrooge 1.6.0 on ubuntu 13.04 x64
With your description of the report, you should have the balance per type of account. So, you should live one graph for "Current", one for "Inverstement", ...
If you want to draw a graph with the balance of a set of accounts, you have to: 1-Select the accounts 2-Right click + open report 3-Lines: Nothing 4-Columns: Month (or what you want) 5-Mode: Cumulated sum of operation
I hope this will help you.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I typed the post slightly wrong. I meant that I set the line to "account type" And i've followed the instructions you gave me, but it's still not quite what I was looking for. The report I was hoping to get was jan 13 Feb 13 ASSETS : $500 $700 Loan/Credt : ($50) ($50) Current $100 $100
Net Worth : $550 $750 <-- 700-50+100
The last line, that is the sum of all of the rows in that column, to give me my net worth is the one I'm really after. Is there a way to do that?

You should have this if you set Line= "account type".

You can have this by changing Line= "account type" by Line= "Nothing".

Thanks, Chris
This is not possible to have them on the same graph.

Hmmm, I'm not really after the graph, more the report with the numbers. I think I see what you mean, when I
set the "line" to nothing, I get the sum of the lines (total net worth),
or
set the "line" to "account type", i get the breakdown of the components without the total
but you're saying its not possible on one report to get the net worth (the total line) and a breakdown of its components? (not needing the graph, just the table/text)
Right, this is not possible... ... but I have 2 proposals for you: Proposal 1: You set the parameters of the graph like this: Then you just have to play with the + and - on the right of the "Line" field to display what you want.
Proposal 2: You choose "Stacked area" as type of graph with "account type" in "Line". So, you will be able to see the "total net worth" in the graph and details in the table.

Thanks, I'll try that when I get home (I'm at work)
Just want to say again that I really hope I can get these few little niggles worked out with Skrooge, because I think the user interface is miles ahead of anything else I"ve tried, and I really like the systematic approach!
