Hello! Congrats for this great software.

I've started using Skrooge and I was wondering... is there any kind of mobile device support?

I'm specifically looking into an Android app simply for tracking expenses when out of home, and then importing those operations.

If there aren't any projects... how would I go regarding doing something like this? how would I interface with Skrooge? I've seen something about krunner but I'd be grateful if someone could point me to some documentation to get started in order to, basically, add operations to Skrooge.

i start to love Skrooge first time, before i was looking for finance home best..i shot love to skrooge.. but i wish to android with skrooge, this is base of ideal..

i'm try to thinking..

skrooge can does share to port tcp (ip) for LAN like as cups, synology.. this is bee possible? without to creare APP for android..but virtual port in url ip local (lan)
android app create new portal connect to skrooge like as view-html database direct computer user kde4 and kde5..

i try write simple:
android app html5 to coonect to skrooge, android is Client skrooge
computer desktop installed kde4 or kde5, skrooge, add:,databases, accounting, moneys, categories, etc. this is Server skrooge

-when android client connect to wifi (ip), will update (sharing database,accounts,moneys,etc), show result same information to skrooge desktop, like as full information identical.
-when andorid client add new event or new moneys or new transactions will update to scrooke desktop under ip. this is tipical SHARING/UPDATE
-same if when skrooge desktop is changed from user: add or remove transaction, or new moneys, so will be update to android client but when adroind client will be connect to wifi for update/share ok?

this is good ideal? evoid to new code to APP android so big time to code..right?

it coulds be access:user and password for share/update/synchronize ..?

This is not so simple.
If I well understood, you would like a Skrooge acting as a server and a web application connected to this server.
To do that, we will have to:
1- Publish as web services all features you need. => Cost: High
2- Develop the web application with a local mode (when your application is not connected) => Cost: High
3- Implement a synchronization with merging of modification done locally and on the client => Cost: Medium

I have an other proposal:
1- Use an existing application on android doing what you need and able to export data in open format (whatever the format) => Cost: Very Low

2- Implement a new import/export plugin for this format => Cost: Medium

Because I don't have android device, if you are interested by this proposal then I am ready to implement the import/export plugin if you provide me sample files of the application selected.

but what is different about app in android and web-html5?

i did tried gnucrash, is not full features with skrooge..

you can find what is best way: app android for skrooge or client web-html for skrooge? if you find the best way then you will can join SOC of google (summero of code)?
for base connect inside of skrooge.. this is little good..?

or you can open https://www.kickstarter.com for goal your project, why not?

skrooge will be server service, will be can install to synology, owncloud, to opensuse 13.2, opensuse 42.1, ubuntu server, server hosting provider..
this is good way for find investment .. you can will receive/find moneys for live for grow up code for skrooge..

i-m not programmer and not developers, but i have good idea for help you the way..
but i need to know inside of skrooge.

what is based library: QT, java, c++, ?

Sure but do you really need all features of skrooge on a mobile application?

Hi,
Skrooge is based on one main concept: "Apply modifications without pop-up panel and undo them is not the expected ones".
Undo/Redo concept is not possible with web service because with web service we have multi clients.
So, if you are looking for Skrooge web services, then this is very complex to do. This is a completely new project, not just an adaptation.

As I said, I have many requests for "Skrooge on mobile" but when I answer "Are you ready to help me?" the answer of the requester is "No time".
Moreover, I won't use this mobile version because I don't have this kind of device.
So, when I said "I am looking for a person to drive", you must understand "I am waiting for a person to drive".

Just to say that the development will take lot of my free time.
I don't need money but I don't want to use all my free time for something I won't use.

I don't know format not loosing data.
