Hi wanting to remove symbol from all operations/exports/reports. Ive gone to settings, nothing there, gone to Units and the symbol seems fixed eg for New Zealand is $NZ.
Reason I ask is that when a CSV is exported all the $NZ prepends are there, which means user has to rework spreadsheets to get numerics.
Thanks vm.

Hi,

The currency is exported because requested by this bug:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214849

I can propose you this:
1-CSV export will continue to export displayed values (with currency)
2-New CSVR export will export data in raw value (without currency)

What do you think about this proposal?
Regards,
Stephane

Hi Stephane.
Yes that RAW sounds like a reasonable option, but concerned it wont have the formatting which makes it so good to import eg into Libreoffice.
What I did in this case to allow me to convert the $amounts into currency in Libreoffice was do a search for the currency/$ and replace with a null. Then it was easy to work on the figures.

Comments on the currency symbol it would be nice to be able to turn it on/off within the GUI as I personally dont need it. That way the exported amounts would also then not have the currency. However, it probably has other downsides.
Best wishes.
Al.
