Hi there,

I've using Skrooge for few weeks and I like it more every day, besides, Developers are there to helping us, so I think this is great!

But with the use, I see some things I don't understand and I need some help, or few things that maybe could be useful if they would work in a different way. Here they are:

    - Transfer (and the other kind of transfers, participations purchases/sales). The are a 'positive' operation in one account and a 'negative' one i the other account, but they should be linked in some way so the modification of one side could modify the other one.

    - Amounts shown for shares, mutual fund participations, even other currencies the the usual. At operations page of yoir 'portfolio account' you can watch the 'amount' and the 'amount entered' column. If you buy 10 shares of XXX at 1€ each, you could see '10 €' in the amount column, and '10 XXX' as the 'amount entered'. But if now the price of the shares has changed to 1,5€, now you will see '15 €' as 'amount' and '10 XXX' as 'amount entered'. In the other side of the transaction, the account where you take the money to pay the shares, you still will see '10€'. But I think you should be able to see, the real price you paid for the shares at the moment of the purchase, and not the current value of them ...

    - At documentation, in the 'Transfer' section, we can read:

Instead of a Payee field, you will find a "To Account" list where you should select the account receiving the money.

But this is not true, you still see the Payee field.

    - Purchase/sale of participations. You should use the 'mode' field, but it is not mandatory. And if you want to use it but you forget to do it, you can't modify the transaction to add the 'mode'. And so you have to delete the transaction (twice, because as the 'regular transfers', deleting one side WILL NOT delete de other side) and then create the new one.

    - Again purchase/sale of participations. The 'shares' tab is not selected when you click on this kind of transaction.

    - One more about participations. Is there any way to link the 'tax' amount you can set on the transaction to an actual category?

    - Importing investements accounts from GNUChas. why treat you them as accounts and not as units? As fas as I've benn able to see, Skrooge treats participations as units, not as accounts, so, why don't import them as units instead of accounts? Now, I have to modify all my transfers to and from an investment account to a current account changing them to a 'buy/sell participations' transactions.

    - And the last one about shares ... please, could you write a bit of them in the documentation?

Uhmmm, I hope you don't see me as a ranter o)

Thanks a lot!
JM
