Having switched to OpenSUSE and KDE, I'm looking to replace HomeBank, which I've been using till now, with Skrooge.

Unfortunately, upon trying to import the *.xhb file I get this error message:
Code: Select all
SKGCategoryObject::setParentCategory failed because linked object is not yet saved in the database.

Do not really understand what that means. I have Skrooge Version 1.8.0 Using KDE Development Platform 4.10.5 "release 1" on the 64-bit OpenSUSE 12.3.

There was previously a thread on a similar error, but not exactly this one. Seems like I may need to put something in the Skrooge document prior to the importing. Could you please tell me what specifically it is? Thanks for any help.

This could be a bug.
Could you send me a homebank sample file reproducing the issue?
Your file with only the categories (no operations, no account) should be enough to reproduce the issue.
My name is Stephane MANKOWSKI and my email is in the "About" of Skrooge.

Thank you. I did the correction.
This will be available on 1.9.0 version.
I plan to publish it in less than one week.

You can use the following workaround.
In you homebank file replace:
<cat key
by
<cat parent="0" key

Thank you again.

This workaround worked beautifully :)
