When viewing operations, there is a box for "Total amount" beneath the operations list. I understand what this is for, reconciliation with my financial institution works fine. My question is: "where does that initial value come from?" Whenever I open an operations tab, the "Total amount" is always set to the same value for all accounts. It's not the last reconciled total, it's just some constant value. No big deal, since I'm going to paste the current balance from the bank there, but still, where is this saved, and why?

Hi Rbuce,
I think you are talking about the field "Final balance". The value is the content of the field when you saved the state of the "operation" page or when you created the bookmark. Regards. |

Yes, "Final balance" for current, loan and savings. "Total amount" is only for credit cards operations page. I hadn't noticed the different names before.
Ok. Now I see where it got saved -- I didn't even remember doing that, it must have been so long ago. Thanks. But it's still the "Final Balance" or "Total amount" for all accounts when I open their operations from the Accounts list. So "Final balance" is a global setting of the Operations tab no matter what account's operations have been opened? |
