Hello!
One of the things I love most about KDE is Skrooge, and unfortunately, I am in a situations where I cannot use Linux (or Windows for that fact). I was wondering if there was a way to install it on a Mac. I understand Macports is a development version of Skrooge, however I was ok with that. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully install Skrooge. After tweaking around and finally getting all the dependencies installed, Skrooge popped up with a compiling error. After doing it manually, 2 lines in Akonadi/resourcebase.h had extra semicolons that did not belong. After manually deleting those (They looked out of place) it compiled properly, however Skrooge popped up with a loading screen for half a second, followed by a blank screen that had left and right arrows and that was it. I'm not sure if I should just wait until a new release comes out (maybe 2.0) and macports gets updated (if it does), or if this is a bug I should report somewhere, or if this is something I did wrong. I'll be happy to give out logs/information, I just need to know if this forum is the appropriate place. Thank you, Mark |

Hi,
Most of the time, when the plugins are not loaded, this is due to the fact that they have not been "registered" by KDE. To do that, you must launch "kbuildsycoca4". Regards. |
