Hi all:
I am running Manjaro KDE with all the updates as of this morning. I installed Skrooge version 2.2.0-2 and while test found it to have several problems. When I shutdown Skrooge I am left with an error message. Sorry Plasma KDE Init could not launch /usr/bin/skrooge. Problem number 2 is when I minimize Skrooge to the task bar the task bar disappers and the system freezes. At that point I have to reboot. I have noticed this behavior only with Skrooge. Help greatly appriciated.

Hi,
I reproduced this error and corrected it. This was due to a change in KDE. Here is the correction: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=skrooge.git ... f15c9d1988 |

Hi:
Thanks for your help on this matter. I have reported the fix on the Manjaro forums and by email to the Arch packager. Now I must be patient, some thing I may not be too good at. But again thanks for your help.

As easy workaround, you can remove the following line in org.kde.skrooge.desktop:
X-DBUS-ServiceName=org.kde.skrooge |

Thanks for your help. Did a file search but could not find it with dolphin as usr and sudo. Will continue looking.

Should be in /usr/share/applications/org.kde.skrooge.desktop !

Thanks again for your help. Found the file and deleted the line that closely matched your answer. It did not contain .kde. in the line. It was second from the end of the file.

Did a test today on Skrooge with the deleted line. Split transactions still are not working. When creating a transaction selecting split brings up the split dialog box with only one line to edit. Still having no joy in Manjaro.

Hi Ralph,
The title of this thread is "Split transactions Skrooge 2.2.0 " but the description of your first port doesn't talk about split. That's why I answered only to the described issue. To use split, you have to change the amount of the split (double click) to create a new line of split. |
