skrooge with boobank and kwallet

Thu Apr 21, 2016 12:57 am
Hello,
I want to use skrooge with boobank but I don't want to store the username and password with Weboob. I saw in the documentation https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-office/skrooge/import.html instructions for either kwallet that keeps the login and password, but I find the instructions unclear. When I enter the console "kwallet-query Weboob kdewallet -f -w caissedepargne" nothing happens, and besides, I did not see when will be given passwords to kwallet.
Would you please clearer instructions?
sorry for my bad english

Hi,

You have in fact to do that:
1-Open KWalletManager
2-Create a new folder named "Weboob"
3-On this new folder, add a new password for your bank (caissedepargne)
Then in the ~/.config/weboob/backends file, replace the password by:
`kwallet-query -f Weboob kdewallet -r caissedepargne`

You should have something like this:
[paypal]
_module = paypal
login = mylogin
password = `kwallet-query --read-password paypal --folder Weboob kdewallet

:) Thank you a lot for the explanation, it works very well with kwallet now ( I think this is a safer method than a plain text in a config file). I like this app and I recommend it
