Crash on exit and slow down

Tue Sep 13, 2016 8:33 pm
Hello,

I don't open a bug yet because I a few information yet, just some things that are not sure...

I have a old bank account with lot of operations.
Generally, skrooge speed is ok to enter an operation, filter or do anything.
But some time each action could take few seconds, more than normal. I remark this problem on reconciliation. But I suspect that it is more general...

When I notice this problem, generally, skrooge crash on exit ! Don't know if it is related but it seems to.
I send some report with kde interface, crash application, I don't know if developers received it.
Hopefully, nothing is loosed :-)

This is some though not really clear...

Just annoying not a big pb (currently but could be more problematic in the future).

You are right this is strange.

Normally the "crash" panel is done to facilitate and automatize the creation of a bug in bug.kde.org.
I never received bug around this.
Next time, could you save the crash report and send me it by email?

Hello,

Ok to send the crash the next time.
In fact, this crash don't seems related to slowdown pb because I have a crash yesterday on exit after use Skrooge few seconds only without notice slowdown pb.

The slowdown pb happens more when I open other views, like other accounts or payees.
I have some reconciliations to do more (I am late :-\ ), I will try to check when it's happen...

Hi Vicnet,

What is your distribution?

What is your versions of Qt and KDE?

Could you confirm that you are using the Oxygen theme?

Do you have the same issue with Breeze theme?

The issue seems to be due to animations. Animations are only on dashboard.
Are you trying to close Skrooge just after opening the dashboard (without waiting the end of the animation?)

Hello,

Oops, I forgot to answer...

I am using KUbuntu 15.10 wily with kernel 4.2.0-42-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP x86_64

Skrooge: Version 2.5.0
plasmashell 5.4.2
KDE Frameworks 5.15.0
Qt 5.4.2 (built against 5.4.2)
The xcb windowing system

I use, for desktop, Helium theme (version 6.1.0 from Mcder3).
For general theme, I use Brise (that the only one I have).
For application style, I use Oxygen.
For window decoration, AerowGlow Oxygen.
And for GTK, Orion and Brize for icon.

I don't how I define all of that (it is an old install that I upgrade) and what it is used for !...

I don't use Dashboard (Tableau de bord ?). I have no animations on main/entry page.
Generally, I enter operation and leave from this view.

After last upgrade, there were no more crash, but it crash sometime again but less than before.

Hello,

Yesterday, a slowdown incident and a crash on exit.

It seems that if I open multiple views that are linked, Skrooge try to synchronize of course, but if I close the views, skrooge is still very slow as it continue to synchronize even if it is not useful...
And perhaps, not sure just a idea, it still try synchronize on exit causing a crash.
