"money at hand"

Sat Oct 08, 2016 12:03 pm
Hello all

I'd like to ask, how can I represent "money at hand"? E.g. a client pays me and gives me the money; no bank transfer. Then I pay from the wallet and buy things from the supermarket.

Maybe I could set it up as another Payee. But then, can I make transactions between Payees?

You can create a wallet account and :
1-just transfer money from current account to wallet account when you take money at your bank
2-add an operation with a positive amount when somebody gives you money
3-add an operation with negative amount when you buy something

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I just realized there's a "wallet" type of "bank" account.
Now, if only I could write accented Greek characters in Skrooge... (e.g. ά, ή, ώ). I've filed a bug for that.

Thanks again,
