income and outcome categories

Mon May 15, 2017 7:52 am
Hi everybody,
I would like to use a plus amount on an expenses category like a reduction of an outcome instead of an income.
If I pay some bills associated to a category (let's say electricity) but I receive some money back it should not appear like an income because it's not.
Is it possible? How to do?
Thank you

Yes, this is possible, you just have to force the sign of the amount.
See here: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragea ... tions.html (Operation Properties / Amount)

Sorry sir but I don't understand.
If on an expenses category (Electricity bill) I input a positive amount because I receive some refunds, this amount is considered like an income in the reports (together with my salary...) and not a reduction of an expense.
Can you suggest me how to resolve this problem?
Thank you

Hi,

I already did an answer here:
viewtopic.php?f=210&t=136733&p=371439&hilit=skrooge+category+income#p370044

Is this proposal acceptable for you?

If not, as Skrooge developer I can develop another solution.
Regards.

Thank you for the answer. I think it could be a good work-around. I am doing some experiments...
Thanks again for your work!
