Validate bank transfers

Mon Nov 06, 2017 10:15 pm
Hi,

Long time KMyMoney user transitioning to Skrooge.

When I validate a transfer from Account A to Account B, shouldn't Skrooge automatically validate the entries in both ledgers automatically? Is there a way to enable this?

Thanks

Hi,

I think that you are talking about "reconciliation" when you use the word "validate".
The reconciliation is a process where you check that your local account is well aligned with the monthly report sent by your bank.
So, if you do a transfer from Account A to Account B. You should see the operation in the monthly report of the Account A and in the monthly report of the Account B. So, you will have to do the reconciliation in both accounts.

There is no way to do it only once.

Regards.
