Hello,

I'm using Skrooge 2.9.0 on Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS.
French accents are not imported correctly whatever filter I choose.

File I want to import is in Utf 8 format
$ file -i DiadeCreditmutuel.ofx
DiadeCreditmutuel.ofx: text/plain; charset=utf-8

Inside Skrooge i get Prélèvements sociaux
Inside ofx file accents are rights <NAME>Prélèvements sociaux
even if I choose utf8 as import filter.

Thank you for any help.

Hi,

The import of OFX file in Utf8 format is normally well supported.
We have an automatic test to check that.
Here is the file used to do the test:
https://cgit.kde.org/skrooge.git/tree/t ... x/UTF8.ofx

file -i ../tests/input/skgtestimportofx/UTF8.ofx
../tests/input/skgtestimportofx/UTF8.ofx: text/plain; charset=utf-8

I did the test interactively and I can confirm that this file is well imported.
Could you provide me a sample file not working?
(You can find me email in the "About" of Skrooge.)

PS: I am French. So, emails can be in French.

Hi,

I well received your OFX file by email.
The issue is due to the content of your OFX file.
Indeed, in the file we can read "ENCODING:USASCII" but some text are in UTF-8.
If you replace
Code: Select all
ENCODING:USASCII

by
Code: Select all
ENCODING:UTF-8

then the import works well.

Regards.
