Having searched the forum and internet for the correct procedures to utilize these features with no great success l am turning to asking for help.
I am new to Skrooge and have found it to be the program l will be using to replace Quicken.
I have several regular monthly transactions that could incorporate these features but their processes elude my comprehension.
When l select in my OPERATIONS an item l wish to SCHEDULE l will hi lite it and right clik to high lite "SCHEDULE", this opens the SCHEDULE page and has my hi lited item now listed. I then will go to the bar at the bottom of the spreadsheet to select the NEXT OCCURRENCE date, the frequency,the reminder time and the automatic write time. Then l have three selections MODIFY, PROCESS and JUMP TO THE OPERATION. Which selection should l be making? Then l end up having two entries in the register both with the SCHEDULE CLOCK added to the items line and both indicating the original date of the previously "Selected" item? Is this correct? will the scheduled date change on the second entry when it is due?
I am sure l must be "over thinking " this but would appreciate a hand to let me know if this is or is not the correct procedure

As this step, the scheduled operation has been created with default options (periodicity, limit, ...).

So, you want to change the default options. Of course, you can.

If you want to modify the default option, you must click on "Modify".
If you want to see all operations created by a scheduled operation, you can selection a scheduled operation a click on "Jump to the operation"
"Process" can be used with a very old "Next occurrence" to create all operation between this date and today.

"Scheduled operations" are proceeded regularly to create entries in "Operations" page. Of course, the number of occurrences and the "Next occurrence" are updated after that.

OK so l am on the right track, l will just monitor the entries l have made to see if they process as l have hoped.

I would like to know if Skrooge works as Money does:
Here is an example: I have programmed an operation every month: pay my 50 $ bill to Orange, my internet supplier, for my box and my phone.
But from time to time the bill is higher, say 60$. When I receive the bill, I would like to trigger my programmed payment for next month and modify the value to 60$ accordingly to the bill without changing the default value of 50$.
This was easy to do with Money.
I did not find how to do it with Skrooge.

Yes, you can do it.
Skrooge will propose you to update the scheduled operation with the new amount, but you can decide to do it or not.

Thanks for your reply, but I still have an issue:
When I am in the "programmed operations" screen, I see no place where I can modify the value (the amount) of the programmed operation !

"Right click + Jump to the operation" to edit the template of operation

It does not work:
I select the programmed operation
I right click and select "Jump to operation"
I select the operation and modify date (30/09/2018) and amount (-90) : see screen capture:

Then I tried Add : no new operation was created in the operations panel
I tried also Modify: no result

I don't understand how to do.

The amount can be modified from the operation.
The schedule attribute (date) must be modified from the schedule.
