The Skrooge Handbook (https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/extragear-office/skrooge/skrooge.pdf) says that to download transactions with aqbanking, "you just have to install and configure aqbanking-cli." However, after installing aqbanking-tools, I can't seem to find any clear instructions for how to configure it - virtually every reference just talks about doing it in gnuCash (i.e. https://www.aquamaniac.de/sites/aqbanki ... x_user.php) via their Tools->Online Banking Setup dialog. Likewise, in KMyMoney it's under Settings->Configure AqBanking.
What is the method for accessing AqBanking's setup in Skrooge? |

You just have to go in settings / Import and enable Aqbanking.
Then, you have to use the import with backend. |

Unless I'm misunderstanding, that's how to get Skrooge to talk to aqbanking, but not how to actually configure your banks. i.e. entering your bank's long/password/account/etc. That's done through the aforementioned dialogs in GnuCash and KMyMoney...but I can't find any way to do it in Skrooge...?

Hi
As mentioned by the backend you have to do it manually, there is no setup in Skrooge.
That is correct. Setting up aqbanking can be easily done via the command line with three commands:
Please check the website of your bank (Keyword: HBCI) what to use as <login/account>, <server url>, and <version> (<version> is most likely 300, which is version 3.00). Note that it is also fine to setup aqbanking with any graphical application (GNU Cash, KMyMoney, AqFinance, ...). They all share the same configuration. For more information please have a look into the official manual: https://www.aquamaniac.de/sites/downloa ... &showall=1 Regards, Bernhard |

Thanks, that helps
As a suggestion for the devs: perhaps a note in the docs to clarify exactly what scheirle said would be helpful: that because Skrooge has no UI to setup aqbanking, you can use the UI of any of the other apps to set it up (they share config), or use the 3 commands specified. Cheers~ |
