Running headless backend imports

Tue Mar 03, 2020 7:54 pm
Hello guys,

I am a new extremely satisfied Skrooge user. This software rocks I can't believe I didn't hear of it before !

I just finished migrating 17 years worth of accounts in multiple countries/currencies from Grisbi to Skrooge with very few issues.

I configured weboob with my bank and everything is working fine. Now I would like to be able to run the import daily from my server to prevent Skrooge from hanging on the backend import at startup.

I see there are Desktop files shipped with the package (Debian sid) but I see no command within them to run them directly : i.e. /usr/share/kservicetypes5/org.kde.skrooge-import-backend-type.desktop

Is it possible ?

Thanks in advance and THANK YOU so much for this application that made my accounting chores so much easier !
Take care

The weboob backend if in fact describe in the file:
/usr/share/kservices5/org.kde.skrooge-import-backend-weboob.desktop

Yes, you can write you own backend by following what is written in this file.
I can help you to do it.
I let you have a look to the file first.
